Let me be the first to go on record: The Bruins are going to suck. Can someone please go down to Causeway St., and explain to Harry, Mini Me, and the rest of the boys that the free agent signing period has started, and they are free to get involved any time.

It’s the deepest Free Agent pool in YEARS, YEARS!!!!!!!!!!, and the organiztion signs Brian Leetch, Alexi Zhamnov, Sean McEachern, and Dave Scatchard?? Are you serious? Signing Murray is the only bright move they have made so far, and he’s only good if #19 sticks around. I am so disgusted. They sucked me in, they really did. I thought in the new system Boston would be primed for a return to glory….I guess you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. That’s it, I am now a Devils fan. Wait? What? They let Niedermayer go? DAMN IT ALL!!!!

Turn out the Lights

Finally the Bruins have gotten on the board with a fight last night in Chicago. Nice work by Gregory Campbell to try to spark the boys. Not much of a scrap, but good on Soupy to get it started. We are now 9 games into the NHL season, and there has been a total of 1 fight. One. Uno. That's not a lot. It was a decent scrap in yesterday afternoon's contest between LA's Kyle Clifford, and the Rangers Brandon Prust. Michael P. Russell 1975-2011

Well, I hate to do it again with the bad news about a hockey player dying, but here we go. An old friend of mine from way back in the day was killed in a car accident last Saturday night. Of all the deaths over this summer, the death of Mike Russell hits the hardest. Mike was 36, had a wife and 2 kids, and was my best friend growing up. He will be missed.   2. Ref, My first comment! You are right, time will tell. I guess my point is, I was hoping Boston might land a more high profile guy. It seems they are stocking up on mid tier guys. Is the big move around the corner? Only time will tell. As long as Colton Orr gets a shot with the big club, I will be happy.
